Trans-traditional encounter IV: Microtonality

In the fourth session of the trans-traditional music laboratory, the Trickster Orchestra and its guests delve into the varied expressions of microtonality. Found in nearly every musical tradition, this musical phenomenon is interpreted and applied in strikingly different ways across cultures. At this workshop concert, artists will present and discuss how microtonal approaches can inspire contemporary trans-traditional musical practices.
