The Akademie Discussion is dedicated to the offbeat, the useless and the difficult to understand as a driving force of artistic creation. Especially in times when algorithms favour the popular, the easily accessible and the mainstream, it is worth exploring the “sound of the centre from the margins”. How can we show this or talk about it without robbing it of its essence? Who judges the centre and the periphery and according to what criteria?
